Julie's Class
Ms Julie's Class

Our beliefs here at Showtime Dance Center makes community service key in all our endeavors.  Most of our staff have been on both sides of children's education as educators and parents.  We, therefore, provide a series of tools designed to help parent's with their decisions when it comes to their children's arts education including:

  • Choosing A Studio - provides a series of questions and thoughts around selecting a studio; we would never tell you what studio to select but provide you ideas to help you make your decision.

This new section of our website will continue to grow.  Tools that we are working on developing include the following:

  • Choosing A Class - provides information about the different types of classes including what they teach and who is suited best for each class.  Although based on SDCAs class schedule, the ideas and concepts can be applied at most studios.
  • Performance Opportunities - is designed to help parent's new to dance and theatre understand the importance of performances as well as some of the most common types of opportunities provided by studios.
  • Should They Compete - is a question that you will need to consider after your child has a year or two of dance under their belt.  This tool gives you a series of questions you should consider before choosing whether or not to make the commitment to be a part of competing dance group.
  • Ballet Basics - will help you better understand what our child is learning.  Ballet is the foundation of all dance the more you understand the easier it will be to talk with your child and their teachers.
