Ms Cathy attended Colorado State University on a Dance Scholarship to obtain a BA in Dance and minor in Elementary Education. As a professional dancer, her career began when she won Miss Colorado 1971. She was awarded a Miss American Pageant televised in 1973. Cathy's career continued in NY doing commercial work for the Charles Ryan Agency as a featured dancer on National TV shows with Peter Gennaro & Jim Nabors. In 1973 she opened with Don Arden's "Hallelujah Hollywood" and was under contract with MGM in 1980 just before moving to Florida. In her travels through Europe and the US, she studied with a resume of outstanding teachers, produced and directed professional shows for conventions and other entertainment productions as the choreographer and competition director for three years of the televised Miss Florida Pageant. In 1981, Ms Cathy started Showtime Dance Studios which grew in to the largest Dance Studio in Florida. At its peak, Showtime had four studios in Florida and one in North Carolina. Ms Cathy and her teachers trained 10s of thousands of students a number of which went on to be well know professional dancers like Katie Tate and a number ended up opening their own dance studios. Ms Cathy has influenced the dance industry not only here in Florida but also around the country. Her proud tradition and principles including our motto "building confidence and making fond memories" continues on today at the new studio.
