Foundational skills taught in Showtime's programs for younger students are designed to help them explore their abilities, build basic skills such as flexibility and following direction, as well as explore a number of styles in a single class.

 

Showtime has two programs that are specifically designed for younger dancers one for very young students taken with a parent and the other for slightly older children which they take on their own.  Here are the details of these two exciting programs to get specific scheduling inforamtion click on the appropriate title:


 

Mommy and Me

 

Mommy & Me is designed to help very young children get an early start with the assistance of a parent.  The class is designed to teach both the parent and child basic tumbling, flexibility, and moves key to learning dance.  This 45 minute weekly class provides a great foundation and an exciting bonding opportunity.

 

Ages: 18 Months to 2 1/2 Years

 



T.A.P.A. - Tiny Artists for the Performing Arts

 

T.A.P.A., or Pre-K classes, are a great starting point for training of young dancers as well as a good class to help build experience and confidence before going in to more advanced classes.  Each session is 45 minutes weekly and provides basic lessons in Ballet, TAP, and Tumbling.  These classes are a great way to start out dancing.


Ages: 2 to 5 Years
